Our daily Griffith Observatory Hike Tour introduces you to the most famous Instagram photo in Los Angeles – the best viewpoint of the Hollywood Sign in famed Griffith Park!
With stunning panoramic vistas, famously sunny weather, and year-round warm temperatures, Los Angeles is perfect for hiking tours. Our daily Hollywood Sign hikes deliver a unique and memorable sightseeing experience that highlight some of LA’s many outdoor and natural attractions, as well as hidden gems that most other LA tours overlook.
This 2.5 hour LA tour begins at the Greek Theater in Griffith Park, which is one of the largest urban parks in the United States. Covering over 4,300 acres in central Los Angeles, Griffith Park is a natural oasis in the heart of the city, with elevated summits that provide stunning views of the iconic cityscape. Griffith Park is also one of the top Los Angeles tourist destinations and filming locations in the world. You'll wrap up this tour with the spectacular, iconic Griffith Observatory, one of the most famous LA sightseeing and filmmaking locations. You’ll learn all of its secrets, take the best Hollywood Sign photos, and make unforgettable memories on our Griffith Observatory Hike!
Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time of your tour (noted above).
*WE ARE NOT ABLE TO WAIT FOR LATECOMERS AS THERE ARE OTHER GUESTS JOINING THE EXPERIENCE AS WELL.
** Please plan ahead and arrive early, this is LA, there is ALWAYS traffic.
You'll meet your guide IN FRONT OF the Greek Theater Box Office in Griffith Park.
You’ll know you're at the Greek Theater Box Office as there is a giant LED screen above it promoting upcoming events at the Greek Theater.
VERY IMPORTANT:
Make sure your GPS (or driver's GPS) is dropping you off at THE GREEK THEATER BOX OFFICE (and NOT the Observatory).
We suggest using a ride share service such as Uber of Lyft to get to our meeting point as it is a great way to get around an unfamiliar city. However, if you do drive, there is a large parking lot just beyond the box office, just allow extra time to find parking. We HIGHLY suggest that at least one person in your party has a mobile device with available data to better navigate and communicate in an unfamiliar city.
If you choose to travel via mass transit, both Google Maps and Apple Maps include public transportation options for the greater Los Angeles Area and can navigate you directly to the meeting point.
Guests must bring water (especially important during the warmer summer months)
