Adventure Sightseeing Tour

Welcome aboard!

Our 60-minute Speedboat Ride takes you on an unforgettable trip through the harbor! You’ll experience the city from unique vantage points, carefully chosen with the photographer’s interest in mind. We’ll bring you within feet of major sights and create plenty of distance to shoot the panoramic skyline. Our captains stop the boat at many places along the way to point out landmarks and give you the opportunity to take photos. All tours are narrated in English.

New York Media Boat zips you to over 40 sights around the local waterways.

ROUTE DESCRIPTION: Our tours depart from North Cove Marina at Brookfield Place located in lower Manhattan very close to One World Trade Center. After a briefing on the dock, you'll board our safe and seaworthy US NAVY designed boat. We’ll leave Manhattan and head out into the Hudson River to get spectacular views of the skyline and to give you an orientation of the lay of the land. We run south along the Financial District and Battery Park and stop at the most southern point of Manhattan from where you can take great photos of the downtown skyline before we head into the East River and often see helicopters takeoff and land as we pass South Street Seaport. We go under the Brooklyn Bridge, and up to the Manhattan Bridge -- another favorite photo spot. We continue to cruise along the Brooklyn waterfront and past Governors Island before we cross the Upper Bay, where you’ll see tugboats, barges, the Staten Island Ferry. We stop the boat real close to the Statue of Liberty to give you the perfect vantage point for photos with her and of the entire world-famous NYC skyline. We then head north on the Hudson River past Ellis Island, the New Jersey ‘9/11 Empty Sky Memorial’, past the Colgate Clock and stop above the Holland Tunnel. From there you’ll get great views of midtown and downtown as well as of the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building and Hudson Yards. We continue north on the Hudson River along the Hoboken waterfront and then cross the river to look at Chelsea Piers, the Little Island and the FDNY fireboat station before turning south and making our way back to North Cove Marina.

ADDRESS: North Cove Marina at Brookfield Place, 225 Liberty Street, New York, NY 10286

It's best to type 'New York Media Boat' into Google Maps, as it can provide you driving, walking and subway directions.

DIRECTIONS: From the corner of Liberty Street and South End Ave, walk past the security barrier and down the ramp towards North Cove Marina. A small park (Pumphouse Park) will be on your right hand side. Our boats pick you up at the first floating dock in the South East corner of the boat basin. If you're looking at the water we're on the left side of the marina. There is a blue sign on the railing that reads 'New York Media Boat'. Please wait at the gate and our captains will greet you there. You can always call us at +1 347-789-0588 or text us at +1 347-789-7604.

What to wear: We recommend sunglasses to shield your eyes from the wind. Regular street cloths are fine however it's always a few degrees colder out on the water and a light jacket might be a good idea during the summer months.

In March, April, October and November we ask that you dress extra warm and bring a hat, gloves and warm shoes.

It is your responsibility to be on time. Please check a map to make sure you know where you're going. Don't rely on the taxi driver's sense of direction, traffic can be unpredictable in Manhattan, and Subways sometime encounter delays so please allow yourself plenty of time to get to us and arrive 15 minutes prior to departure for check in. Our boats depart right on time. If other passengers are aboard, we have to respect their time and can not delay departure.

Weather: We monitor the weather closely and will email, call, and text message you in case we need to cancel a tour due to unsafe conditions. We try to give as much notice as possible but sometimes storm cells pop up on the radar or change course with little notice. Feel free to give us a call at +1 347-789-0588 or text us at +1 347-789-7604 for an update on the weather the day of your tour.

The tours run with a 4 passenger minimum. Feel free to call us to check boat loads.
