For the certified diver who hasn’t dived in more than 2 years. Add this refresher option to any dive. Includes an 30 minutes academic review with an instructor discussing safety procedures, gear, hand signals, etc., followed by the dive experience of your choice. Refresher Option must check-in 30 minutes prior to standard dive check-in time.
Tunnels Beach, North Shore Check-in Location:
Take Hwy 56 heading north. Once you come to the town of Hanalei you will be about six miles away from Tunnels Beach and cross a series of one-lane bridges. FYI: Local custom is to stop every four or five cars and let the cars going in the opposite direction pass.
Once you get to Hanalei Colony Resort watch the mile markers because you will be exactly 9/10 of a mile from the 1st entrance to Tunnels Beach. Please don’t park at the 1st or 2nd entrance!
Be on the lookout for mile marker 8, it will be on your right hand side of the road. After mile marker 8 on the same side of the road is a red surfboard that marks a private driveway, it is NOT this road.
The first entrance to Tunnels is the next right you can make past the red surfboard. Please don’t park there! Approximately 200 yards from the red surfboard on the same side of the road is the 2nd entrance to Tunnels. This is where you will drop off your personal gear. Look for a white Ram truck, your Divemas
Please remember to allow 18 hours after your dive to go to an altitude of more than 1000 feet. Minimum 2 divers for dive to go out.
